What is Passage Indexing? How it work?

Passage indexing is basically a method where a website owner would use keywords to define content they want their visitors to know about. By using passage indexing, users will find similar articles that are related to what they’re looking for. In short, it means giving people exactly what they’re searching for.

How does this Work in SEO?

When someone types a keyword in a search engine, Google organizes and sorts its results based on the popularity of those results. Passages that have been indexed by website owners are ranked higher than unindexed ones. If an article is not indexed, then the search engines won’t show it to searchers even if it contains relevant information.

With that said, here are some ways to make sure your website gets indexed:

Make sure that your site has a unique page title. You might think that having a long page title makes sense. However, the search engines aren’t going to read the whole thing.

Your title should be optimized so that it includes a keyword, but not too many words.

If your web pages don’t have any links back to them, then they won’t get indexed either. So, make sure to add an internal link to each page.

Also, make sure that the URL structure is clean and easy to understand.

You can check whether your site is indexed by typing “site: https://uniquebacklinks.com/ at the end of the address bar. For example, if you type “site:www.uniquebacklinks.com” into your browser, you will see whether your site appears in the list of top search results.
